Hold an Exhibition!
We have been extremely lucky to have had many supporters from across the world who have held local exhibitions of the children’s work to raise money for the project and they have been hugely successful in raising awareness and much needed funds for the project. All you need is a small gallery space and a group of generous friends! We supply can supply the shipment of the paintings and supporting material for your night of nights. Please get in touch if you are interested in this form of support.
Provide rice, Buy flip-flops, Provide bikes…
To break it down…
Sponsoring a child for a year is $120 for English & Khmer school. Providing education is one of the most important elements of our project. We have seen the results with our older students who have been provided with schooling. They now hold jobs and can provide an income for themselves and their family.
Supporting a family is $1.50 a day. We provide some families with rice/food and medical expenses. Some of children come from very impoverished families so we go above and beyond to keep these families healthy.
Provide the center with rice, cost a week is 5 bags at 50 kilo for $180. As part of our program, our children have lunch everyday at the art center. We generally have over 100 kids come! It is an open door policy…the kids know it is a safe environment with a healthy meal each and everyday.
We purchase flip-flops in bulk every two weeks for $50. We go through a lot of flip-flops!!! Our children need to be provided with some sort of footwear to prevent cuts and scrapes that generally lead to infections.
Bikes are the main transportation for our children and cost $50 each. We have bike repair right here at the center. We also have a running list of all the children that need one. They receive bikes for good attendance to school and the art program.
